Vicki.Bot Four-Ways, is an original contemporary piece by artist Hewg ◆ Irl.  It consists of modified alkyd paint on hard-board in an integrated light wood frame measuring 24"x36"

"Vicki.Bot Four Ways" shows child-like Vicki.Bot in four different poses with four different items. Vicki is fun because she's simple, and child-like yet she is surprisingly expressive. In this piece her eyes are looking in four different directions. She faces up, down, left, right, straight, etc. She's also holding some specific items that mean something. Knowing this was painted just after Russia invaded Ukraine the subtext became clearer:1.) The blue and yellow of the Ukrainian flag are in the panels on the left. 2.) The sunflower in the upper right is the national flower of Ukraine. 3.) In the upper left panel (the red panel), Russian Vicki.Bot is holding a bear and she looks down, ashamed. 4.) The green panel includes Vicki.Bot with her wind-powered toy in a nod to the environment... and the implications of the war / Russian oil.

“Vicki.Bot Four-Ways” consists of spray paint (modified alkyd) on an up-cycled hard-board art. This piece introduced Vicki to the world as the child-like robot featured in much of the artists 2022 work. The original frame and integrated board are up-cycled from a piece of word art sourced from a home décor store. On the reverse the statement is “edited” by the artist to read: “This home may be filled with the sound of friends, family, love and robots.”

The piece is tagged with the artist’s name on this secret reverse panel. The stenciling process to finish this piece is quite simple, with only two colors on individual blocks of solid primary color backgrounds. The piece itself is simple like Vicki.Bot.

The piece is tagged with the artist’s name on the reverse and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
